What’s New in Axxon One 3.0
The latest release from AxxonSoft introduces a more secure, more powerful, and more intuitive video management experience. From advanced AI-driven search to enterprise-grade cybersecurity, version 3.0 is designed to meet the demands of modern, large-scale deployments.
Vision-Language Models (VLM) & Meta-Search
VLM in Axxon One extends video analytics from detection to semantic understanding. While Meta-Detector identifies complex objects and events in real time, Meta-Search VLM complements it by enabling natural-language search across the video archive.
Operators can find scenarios by meaning, not only by predefined tags — for example, “person in red jacket near entrance at night.” This reduces investigation time, supports more flexible queries, and turns stored video into searchable operational intelligence.
Redesigned Export
Axxon One export now offers a unified, configurable workflow. Users can select video format, codec, compression level, frame rate, and resolution directly in the export window.
The new export supports multiple cameras with output to separate files, one multi-track video file, or an EXE file with an embedded player for synchronized playback. Users can also manage subtitles, including date and time, camera name, coordinates, user name, and event-source captions.
Analytics tracks, bookmark areas of interest, and privacy masking for detected objects can also be applied during export.
Optimized Bookmarks
Bookmarks in Axxon One let users mark specific segments of video for faster review and investigation. Users can select one or more cameras, define a time range, highlight an area of interest, add comments, and assign a category.
Role-based access controls help protect sensitive bookmarks. A dedicated panel shows all bookmarks and supports text search by name, comment, or category, as well as quick viewing, exporting, editing, and deletion.
Multicamera Tracking
Axxon One now supports automatic object tracking as people or vehicles move from camera to camera, with continuous visualization on an interactive map.
Multicamera Tracking uses a neural network-based appearance-matching algorithm to reliably maintain object identity across the monitored area, improving situational awareness and reducing the need for manual camera switching.
Redesigned User Interface
Axxon One introduces multiple UI improvements for faster, more convenient operation. Selected cameras now appear at the top of camera lists across export, archive search, and other workflows.
The top panel now includes live and archive camera counters, plus quick access to Bookmarks and Archive Search. System settings now separate client application and domain options. The Objects panel adds device search, object-tree display modes, and camera thumbnails for faster navigation. Additional tools include camera list export, temporary camera disable, and track lifespan display, making day-to-day system operation faster, clearer, and more efficient.
Cybersecurity: LDAP Synchronization (IAM)
Axxon One enhances LDAP synchronization as part of its Identity and Access Management (IAM) framework for enterprise user lifecycle control. The directory acts as the source of truth: users are created from LDAP data, multiple roles can be assigned during auto-registration, and permissions are automatically updated when users move within the corporate directory tree.
Accounts can also be removed or deactivated when they no longer exist in LDAP, reducing orphaned accounts, privilege creep, and overall security risk.
Cybersecurity: Watermarking and Search Permissions
Axxon One can now apply user-name watermarks to video in all viewing modes and during export. For selected roles, users cannot access video or snapshots without watermarks.
Access rights have also been expanded for archive search features, including similarity search, face search, license plate search, and vehicle attribute search.
Cybersecurity: Cryptographic Certificates
Axxon One now supports third-party TLS/SSL certificates issued by a corporate PKI or trusted certificate authority, in addition to built-in operating system TLS certificates.
This enables secure, standards-based connections to the video server without relying on embedded root certificates or non-standard hostname verification. The product cryptography library has also been updated to OpenSSL 3.2.1 for stronger protected transport and enterprise compliance.
Macro Commands for Device Groups
Axxon One now makes macro command setup faster for large systems. Automation scenarios can be assigned to multiple similar devices at once, including entire domains, selected devices, servers, camera groups, and equipment groups.
When a group is selected, newly added devices can inherit the macro automatically. This eliminates duplicate macros and long condition lists, significantly reducing configuration effort across large sites with thousands of devices.
