AxxonSoft at Security Essen 2014

10/06/2014

The Security Essen 2014 industry expo was recently held in Germany from 23 to 26 September, maintaining its traditional status as a benchmark of the health and progress of the security industry. Preeminent professionals from all over the world gather in Essen once every two years in order to see the latest security breakthroughs in practice, visit niche conferences, network with other industry leaders, and sign large deals.

Awarded the title of "industry's best" in 2008, Security Essen, marked its 40th anniversary this September. This year's event drew 1,045 exhibitors from over 40 countries as well as around 40,000 visitors, including conference participants, VIP guests, numerous delegations, experts, and journalists. Over 40 market segments were represented at the event in Essen for the first time, among them automated/IP technologies for fire protection, video surveillance, IT security, civil defense, and anti-terrorism.

Even a cursory look at the expo schedule proves the enormous impact of IT, as seen in advances in the security industry. Evidence includes software from AxxonSoft, which took part in Security Essen this year for the fifth time. The company presented Axxon Next 4.0, the newest version of the company's open-platform VMS, which includes support for on-board analytics on IP devices. Video analytics enable other unique features demonstrated to visitors at the AxxonSoft stand:

  • MomentQuest2, which performs near-instant forensic search;
  • Tag&Track, which locks on to and tracks moving objects with the help of PTZ cameras;
  • TimeCompressor, which offers a rapid visual "summary" of events recorded by a video camera during a specified period of time;
  • AutoZoom, which automatically enlarges the area of the frame in which motion is present and monitors moving objects.

Benefits of the updated version of Axxon Next include a streamlined user interface, reducing the time needed to learn and perform standard operations. Also in the limelight were industry-specific solutions powered by the Axxon Intellect PSIM, such as Auto Intellect license plate recognition, Face Intellect facial recognition, and Retail Intellect for monitoring of point-of-sale retail transactions, visitor counting, queue detection, and hot/cold zone measurement. Visitors to the AxxonSoft stand could see in action how these technologies combine for maximum benefits: in addition to protecting the safety and assets of individuals and companies, security systems powered by AxxonSoft software have lower hardware requirements (and thus lower expenses), encourage corporate discipline and on-task employee behavior, and contribute to the corporate bottom line.

AxxonSoft software has yet another "ace up its sleeve" too – the System Health and Monitoring module, which enables centralized monitoring of the status of hardware on even the largest and most critical security systems.

Thanks to ongoing cooperation with leading IP camera manufacturers worldwide, AxxonSoft products feature exceptional integration support. Professional equipment from numerous manufacturers was demonstrated at the company's stand, including Axis, Bosch, Panasonic, Sony, Samsung, Arecont Vision, Riva, VIVOTEK, Brickcom, Sunell, 3S Vision, and Eneo.

"We were delighted with the visitor response at Security Essen, where innovative and effective AxxonSoft software made a real impression on those attending. I have to say that the map at our stand on which we showed all of AxxonSoft's offices worldwide, including those opened just recently, certainly got a lot of attention as well. On top of that, our Axxon Next VMS was ably demonstrated at the stands of our partners Bosch, VIVOTEK, 3S Vision, and Riva. This let end clients and our colleagues in the security industry learn key information about the joint technologies developed by AxxonSoft in concert with leading world manufacturers of professional-grade security equipment. Security Essen 2014 was a great success and has given us excellent momentum as we keep moving forward,"

enthused Alan Ataev, Global Sales Director at AxxonSoft.
