Solution

Project Scope

The school security systems upgrade project at Malatya İnönü Üniversitesi encompassed the installation and integration of a wide array of advanced technologies provided by AxxonSoft. The key solution components included:

  • School security cameras: Installation of 950 high-resolution 5 MP cameras across the campus to ensure extensive coverage and detailed monitoring.
  • AI video analytics: Implementation of AI-powered object detection and tracking on 100 cameras for enhanced situational awareness.
  • Identification technology: Deployment of video analytics dedicated to identification on sixteen cameras for improved access control in school.
  • LPR License Plate Recognition: Integration of fifteen LPR cameras to monitor and manage vehicle access and parking.
  • Radar speed detection: Installation of six Milesight radar speed detection cameras to monitor and enforce speed limits within campus premises.
  • Videowall: Establishment of a centralized video wall for real-time monitoring and management of the entire school security system.
  • Remote access: Providing seven remotely located client workstations with access to the school security system for decentralized monitoring.
  • Occupancy monitoring: Deployment of people counting analytics on six cameras along with a comprehensive dashboard for occupancy monitoring and analysis.
  • Server infrastructure: Installation of three Supermicro servers and two NVIDIA RTX A2000 GPUs to support the computational demands of the advanced AI and video processing.

Implementation

The project was executed in several phases to minimize disruption to university operations. Each phase involved careful planning, installation, and testing to ensure all components worked seamlessly together.

Phase 1: Assessment and Planning

AxxonSoft conducted a thorough assessment of the university’s existing school security infrastructure and requirements. Based on this assessment, a detailed project plan was developed, outlining the placement of cameras, servers, and other critical components.

Phase 2: Installation

The installation phase involved setting up the 950 high-resolution school cameras across key locations on the campus. These cameras were strategically placed to cover high-traffic areas, entrances, exits, and other critical points.

Phase 3: Integration of AI and Analytics

The next step was the integration of AI and video analytics features. This included setting up AI object detection and LPR. The neural network–based tracking technology was configured to enhance the system’s ability to detect and respond to unusual activities.

Phase 4: Speed Detection and People Counting

The radar speed detection cameras were installed at strategic points to monitor vehicle speeds and ensure compliance with campus speed regulations. The people counting cameras were deployed in areas with high foot traffic to monitor occupancy and movement patterns.

Phase 5: Centralized Monitoring and Remote Access

The video wall was set up in the central security control room to provide a comprehensive view of all camera feeds and analytics data. Remote access was configured for seven remote client workstations, allowing decentralized monitoring and quick response capabilities.

Phase 6: System Testing and Optimization

Comprehensive testing was conducted to ensure all components of the system were functioning correctly. Adjustments and optimizations were made based on the test results to ensure peak performance and reliability.
